HCS Fun Facts 

Heartland Christian School is nothing less than an amazing gift from God.  In 2000, with much prayer, Victory Christian School and Loess Hills Christian School came together to create a non-denominational, Bible-based school in the Council Bluffs area.

Since then, Heartland Christian and its staff have consistently provided a stimulating academic experience for its students in a setting where Biblical principles are integrated into every subject.

Here are some other interesting facts about Heartland Christian School:
  • Heartland Christian is an independent Christian school. It is not directed by a church or any denominational group.
  • Heartland Christian is a MULTI-DENOMINATIONAL Christian School. (38 different churches are represented by our student body.)
  • Heartland Christian is the only state-accredited (Kindergarten – 6th grade) Christian school in the southwest Iowa area.
  • Heartland Christian staff have the freedom to pray with our students every day!!
  • Heartland Christian uses a Biblically-based curriculum.
  • All of Heartland's staff are Born Again committed Christians who view their positions here as God appointed.
  • The Heartland Christian staff loves and prays for its children on a consistent basis.  Heartand Christian has 210 beautiful children (Pre-K through 12th grade)!!
  • Heartland Christian boasts in our graduates who have gone on to many universities, colleges, the Armed Forces and ministry schools including: Iowa State University, University of Iowa, Creighton University, University of Nebraska - Omaha, ITT Tech, York College, Grace University, Bellevue University, Nebraska Christian College, International House of Prayer, Northwestern, Dordt, Colorado Christian, and the list goes on!  
We have seen God’s hand of blessing on our school for many years and believe God placed us in this area of our city to make a difference!!
